If their forehead creases, you know immediately that what you said was not understood. But what do people with visual impairments do? They are lacking this information, which can often lead to misunderstandings. This is precisely where Prof. Nicholas Müller, professor for socio-informatics, wants to help with the “vibrotactile emotion recognition” project. Artificial intelligence, among other things, plays a major role in this.
