Higher education institutions are important entrepreneurial drivers. About half of all startups that were questioned for the German Startup Monitor were supported by higher education institutions. That is why many higher education institutions are now offering programmes supporting founders, among them THWS. In 2023, two teams of THWS alumni have won the Würzburg Startup Award. The annual award honours the most innovative startups of the city of Würzburg and the region. Oliver Greiner (Eye-Able) and Maximilian Braun (Main-SteckerSolar) told Trade Journalism student Julia Pscheidl about their business ideas.
